In recent years, fewer and fewer young men have been enrolling in college. One statistician reported in The Economist, that at the current rate of decline in male college enrollments, the last male to receive a bachelor’s degree in the US will be in 2068. What’s causing this change? How does it affect higher education? What implications will it have to our future workforce? Understanding why men are not enrolling in colleges and universities is necessary if we are to make changes which should help to reverse these disturbing trends. Presented by Dr. Mel Johnson, this public lecture, in partnership with UW-Manitowoc, provides access to lifelong learning that enhances our lives and community. This program is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
